You know what I just realized?
This is my last first tournament of the season.
Ever.
Wow.
By the time you read this, I will have finished my last first round of the season.
My mom will have probably just told me to eat. I will have said that I'm not hungry, I never am at tournaments. She'll insist, and I'll eat a handful of trail-mix, or some chili mangoes and peanut butter, or a granola bar. Somebody will say that I need to eat more, and I'll laugh.
What a strange thought.

You know what? I love unique moments like last first tournaments. And here's what I've learned about them - as much as I tried to hold on to them and struggled to try to take it all in ... it never worked. It went by just as fast. So here's my advice to you: Don't worry about "wasting" it. As long as you're there for God's glory, it can't be wasted. It sounds cheesy, but live in each moment and be thankful for what it is. Don't try to slow it down. Just live it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love you, Em!
You're never hungry at tournaments? Weird! I'm always STARVING!! Usually I can last till 1 till I get hungry, but at tournaments, I'm lucky to make it to 10! It's weird. O.o
ReplyDeleteOh, and good luck at the tournie! You'll do great, as always. =)
Albeit wearing a suit and tie, tournaments are the closest I'll get to living on the streets.
